11Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; 12To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
This Psalm is so beautiful when you meditate on the essense of its meaning. Sometimes in life we have to go through some really tuff times and situations that call for mourning, this may be beacuse of the loss of a loved one not just by passing this life but because you are estranged or because of distance, people may suffer personal devastation, natural disasters, financial scarcity, sickenss or abuse to name a few. The word of God is so powerful in that even though we may have suffered or are sufferiing a terrible life event it offers real hope in these desperate times.
Losing someone or something dear can be very devastating believe me i know regardless of the circumstance and one may not ever recover from the impact or effect of that loss.
Greif unfortunatley has no specific or pre prescribed way of expression it hits people in differing ways and for different lengths of time.
Bearing this Psalm in mind I thank God for his word that says he will turn our mourning into dancing, assuring us that one day we will smile again, one day joy will return, one day the peace that was lost will be present again, one day the pain will begin to fade even though the memories may remain.
Gods word promises us gladness and hope for the future, but in order to reap that promise we have to do as 1 Peter 1 5:7 instructs us and cast all our cares unto the Lord, every single one every peice of emotional or psychological disturbance or disruption today i implore you to give it up to God, dont mask it, dont fake it, dont conceal it just find that quiet place to be real with God. Talk to him and let the author and finisher of our lives rearrange and exchange all the confusion, all the despair and all the lowliness and when he has finished his perfecting work Gods word promises again your voice of triumph will be heard, the song of praise in your heart will return, the bible also promises in Psalm 30:5 that weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning, now thats something to smile about!
So for those still with elements of darknes you got to know that it has no right to invade your life and cannot stay forever for trily the light of God will arise and shine on you this morning
So DI family like David lets dry our eyes, find that place of praise and dance before the Lord, giving thanks for all things great and small.
In this Psalm God also promises us that we will be thankful forever. What a great thought, what an awesome assurance and proof that God never leaves his children suffering but always makes a way of escape!
Prayer: Lord make us forever grateful today and everyday in spite of where we find ourselves, let us always remember your word never fails, your word is always a source of strength and peace. We thank you today for realigning us when our equilibrium has been lost. We will praise and glorify your name forever just as your.word promises that we will do so I J N amen.
#Gratitude to God is everything.
Have a blessed day Pst A
